Someone to carry it
Every group has a person who ends up holding the deposits, the tee sheet and the transport. We take that from them, and they get their own trip back.
A trip that includes everyone
The dining, the days ashore, the spa and the city hours are planned with the same attention as the rounds. In most groups, that is what decides whether the trip happens.
A number that answers
When a course closes or a connection fails, we are already on the line with the resort. Not a ticket, not a queue. That is what the relationship is for.
Who we plan for
Three kinds of journeys we compose.
Families
Golf arranged for a party spanning three generations and differing appetites for a full round. Courses that receive juniors graciously, resorts with somewhere considered for everyone else, and a pace no one needs to excuse.
Groups
The eight or twelve who already travel together, and the associations and clubs whose trips are organized by members giving up their own holiday. We assume the logistics and leave the group precisely as it is.

Four ways a group travels well.

The islands
Punta Cana, Casa de Campo, Barbados, Los Cabos, Montego Bay.
In partnership with Premier Golf and Sandals Resorts. Golf on the resort grounds or a short private transfer away, with green fees and transfers arranged in advance. Those who did not come to play have the whole property to themselves.

The rivers
AmaWaterways on the Danube and the Seine. AmaMagna to Budapest, Paris to Normandy.
In partnership with AmaWaterways, whose Concierge Golf Program is built with LGT Golf. Five European courses in a single week without changing hotels once. Private transfers from ship to course, tee times and carts arranged in advance of your arrival, clubs cleaned and waiting for the following round. Dr. Ray and Marina both hold the AmaWaterways specialist credential and work this program directly with their team.

The British Isles by sea
Links golf from Southampton, sailing to Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In partnership with Azamara and Silversea, whose golf programs are run by PerryGolf. Guaranteed tee times, green fees, private transfers from ship to course, dining on course, and clubs moved and cleaned between rounds. A dedicated golf host accompanies the group for the entire voyage, and a tournament day is included. Both ships sail 2027.

Scotland and Ireland by land
St Andrews, Royal County Down, Ballybunion, Lahinch.
In partnership with Premier Golf, an authorised provider of guaranteed tee times on the Old Course at St Andrews. Tee sheets, caddies, private transport and a weather plan that preserves the week. The journey a group returns to in conversation for twenty years, and one we begin twelve to eighteen months in advance.
Name the course.
We compose bespoke itineraries through Abercrombie & Kent, Kensington Tours, Europe Express and Globus. A journey need not already exist in a brochure for us to assemble it, and we will tell you candidly whether it merits the travel.

Priced per person, day by day, with what is included stated plainly. Two, not twelve, because a group cannot decide among twelve.

We contract the tee times and rooms, each traveler settles their own arrangements directly, and every document is held in one place.

Everything after
Tee times, transfers, club shipping, insurance dates, rooming and final documents. Held with the operator directly. Then we stay reachable through the trip.

A professor and leader in AI and data governance, he brings the same rigor to an itinerary that he brings to his research, and builds journeys around accessible luxury and cultural depth. Based in Prince George's County.
Marina Tack
2 Tacks Travel LLC
Founder of 2 Tacks Travel. A trained chef and professional photographer, she brings the chef's eye for sourcing, season and place, and a way of seeing that helps travelers carry a journey home and use it to shape the next. Cruise specialist credentials across AmaWaterways, Scenic, Oceania, Celebrity and Globus.
We maintain separate advisories and we compose these journeys together. Whichever of us receives your call remains with your trip from first conversation to return, and you will not be passed along.
For clubs
We conduct member travel programs for Directors of Golf and General Managers across the Washington and Maryland market. The club provides the members and the room. We attend to the planning, the contracting and the follow through.
